How To Draw Better In 2 Minutes

    (via kyubunart)

How exactly does one go about drawing an anthro bear? Most/all of the good tutorials I've found only deal with canines, and occasionally felines, while bears are almost always ignored

Its mostly because the similarity on the skull, knowing a canine base lets you work with many different species, while felines and canines were relatives at some point.

If you plan on drawing specifically something, then study it, like google images of how artists draw bears, break down its composition, understand it and then try it yourself on paper, thats how it works, its about understanding, not just following a tutorial

Bears are big, with round tummy, thick necks, big noses and small roundy ears(key feature)

also big fangs (Wolfy-nail draws nice bears, hammy-toy also does)

Felines have triangle pointy small ears, smaller nose, whiskers, different cheek fluff and small snouts/muzzles, again google your own refferences

I still don’t understand why none of my art teachers ever told us this.

Always work with your own custom colors, using the preset colors will just give you a kindergarden looking coloring

Hello sorry to bother you all. but i was just wondering if you might have a zip file with all of the tutorials you have? Unfortunately i don't have the fastest internet and even the archive seems to take a while to load for me. If not i understand, just thought i would ask.

I should make a zip of all of them yes, the only problem is where to host it, any place i could use for? my dropbox needs every little mb for my commissions so i can put it there

Those tutorials are really helpful. Thank you for making this blog. :D The only problem is just, that it's tedious to scroll downwards or use the archive to find what you need help with. Maybe you could use some tags for specific tutorials for easy finding what you need. x3

I dont plan on taggin every single post @.@ I should change the layout of the page for easy scrolling, i know its quite heavy for regular browsing

Not a question, but I just want to say thank you for creating this blog, I feel as if I will be able to art better with the help posted on this blog. Thanks again

I learned lots from these after re’reading them before posting them here too, things are easier to draw if you have someone to explain it to you

    Pretty much

just fucking draw. don’t compare yourself to other people, don’t stop because you drew a lot last tuesday and you haven’t visibly improved. it takes time, effort, and a lot of perseverance. besides, no matter how “bad” you think you are, there’s still gonna be someone who thinks the stuff you produce is the best goddamn thing they’ve ever seen in their entire life. the artist you were five years ago would have their mind fucking blown by the artist you are today. so just draw a fuckton, because every new thing you draw is one drawing better than you were before.

    bless this post
